\pard\plain\f4\fs22\cf1\b Since the outside wing has to travel a farther distance in the turn, it's moving faster than the inside wing. This causes the outside wing to develop more lift and the airplane to continue to roll into a steeper bank.
\par
\par As a result, you may need to use some aileron opposite to the direction of the turn to keep your bank angle from getting too steep. You may notice more overbanking tendency in left turns than in right turns since torque and P-factor tend to roll the airplane to the left and work against the overbanking in a right turn.\plain\f5\fs22\cf1\b

Steep turns should be performed at least 1,500 feet AGL.
Steep turns should be flown at or below design maneuvering speed.
To maintain altitude in a steep turn, you should primarily focus on the instruments.
Adding power as you roll into the turn will help you maintain airspeed.
You should maintain a constant amount of back pressure on the yoke as you roll into a steep turn.
If you are descending during a steep turn, maintain the 45
bank angle and increase back pressure on the yoke.
To recover from a descent in a steep turn, reduce the bank angle before increasing back pressure on the yoke.
When rolling out of the turn, you need to lead your roll-out heading by about 20

\pard\plain\f4\fs18\b Roll into the turn smoothly at a moderate rate. Rolling in too fast will make it harder to control your altitude. Add power as you roll in. In some training airplanes, you may need to add full power to maintain airspeed during the turn.
\par
\par Slowly increase back pressure on the yoke to hold altitude. Don't pitch up too much initially or you'll gain altitude. As you increase your bank angle, you'll need to increase back pressure.

9Steep turns should be performed at least 1,500 feet AGL.
BSteep turns should be flown at or below design maneuvering speed.
UTo maintain altitude in a steep turn, you should primarily focus on the instruments.
HAdding power as you roll into the turn will help you maintain airspeed.
bYou should maintain a constant amount of back pressure on the yoke as you roll into a steep turn.
oIf you are descending during a steep turn, maintain the 45
bank angle and increase back pressure on the yoke.
nTo recover from a descent in a steep turn, reduce the bank angle before increasing back pressure on the yoke.
SWhen rolling out of the turn, you need to lead your roll-out heading by about 20

\pard\plain\f4\fs18\b As you approach your entry heading, you should anticipate your roll-out by leading your desired heading by roughly 20\plain\f5\fs18\b \'b0\plain\f4\fs18\b , or about half of your 45\plain\f5\fs18\b \'b0\plain\f4\fs18\b bank angle.
\par
\par The roll-out should be done just as smoothly as the roll-in. But, you'll probably need to use more aileron and rudder pressure to roll out in order to counteract the overbanking tendency.
\par
\par You'll also need to slowly reduce the pitch attitude as your bank angle decreases. If you don't release some back pressure on the yoke, you'll begin climbing during the roll back to wings level.
\par
\par Also, don't forget to reduce the power a little. This helps you maintain altitude and airspeed as you return to straight-and-level flight. If you used nose-up trim in the turn, you'll need to retrim to relieve control pressures.\plain\f3\fs17\b

This is why you should do clearing turns before every maneuver. Clearing turns normally consist of at least a 180
change of direction, so you usually perform two 90
turns.
Arial
This gives you a good view of the area around your flight path, and helps you see and avoid any aircraft that may be in the vicinity.
Arial
One thing you need to consider anytime you're in the practice area is collision avoidance. When you're practicing a maneuver, it's easy to get distracted and forget that there might be other aircraft out there.
